Congratulations to our first cohort of students taking a college level writing course while in high school. Last week this group all qualified (and even over qualified) to enroll in Writing 101-English Composition I class and earn college credit from Pima Community College!
Last Friday, Panther Partners attended a joint outing with AMS Cross-Cat at Tohono Chul Park! Students got to see and learn about the various plants and wildlife in the Sonoran Desert.
AHS girls participated in Sonya Kovalevsky Day at the UofA, hosted by the Association for Women in Mathematics. They explored how music & math work together, solved puzzles, created fractals, & learned a few “math” magic tricks. A big thanks to Ms. Reynolds for taking them!
5 #AHS students were recognized by the National Center for Women in Technology (NCWIT)'s #Aspirations Award. Mara N., Michelle R., & Veronica C. earned AZ Honorable Mentions. Mia H was an AZ Awardee. Kapua I. was an AZ Awardee & National Honorable Mention. Congrats!!
